removing stock wallpapers
hey is there an app or a way in general to remove the stock wallpapers from the iphone? i appreciate any help

Well, I don't see why you need to. They're built into the OS, so removing them won't give you any more disk space.

I don't recommend doing that. Deleting stock files on your phone is like playing with fire.

He didn't ask for an opinion, people, he asked how he could do this.
So I'll tell him
Basically, FTP into your phone or use iPhonebrowser (which ever is easiest for you; google iphonebrowser if you don't know what I mean)
And navigate to //Library/Wallpaper
Then, delete all the images in there (back them up first. You really should..)
And the .THM files if you wish. (These are the small thumbnails that you will see)

iphonebrowser is sick! I love it!
i didnt actually delete the wallpapers, i just went ahead and replaced them. too scared to see what the ramifications would be if i went ahead and deleted the files.Last edited by iphone49er; 04-13-2008 at 11:42 PM.

Now even though you can delete the wallpapers once you need to restore they will be back, right?
I mean they are built into the OS aren't they?

Ok great thanks also can I leave the actual .png but delete the .THM?
