    Default iPhone contacts problem
    Please can anyone help me.

I have an iPhone using ios6.

I deleted one of my contacts and when I looked in the contacts list sure enough it was no longer there.

I then put a new corrected entry in the contacts and this was the only entry for that name showing in the list as I would expect.

I then tried to send a message to the contact. When I started to put the name in the 'to' box it found my new one AND the old one !

As I still couldn't find the old entry anywhere at all I decided to delete from contacts my new entry. Now when I go to messages and start to type it is still finding my old entry!

Any ideas how to fix this or where else this old entry may be stored?

I had this problem with deleted SMS. I assume spotlight has a cache somewhere but I rarely use spotlight search so it's not really an issue. Perhaps someone else knows?

Is your iPhone JBken? iOS 7 has this issue resolved as it allows you to delete old suggestion entries from the drop-down menu. No such solution under iOS 6 though I am afraid.
