On my i5, I generally only have that much free immediately after closing all open apps and "freeing the ram" with battery doctor pro. Usually 600-800m mb free, but opening just a few apps will drop it the 300mb level you describe. It also can depend on what tweaks you have installed. Some use a lot of mem and some even have memory leaks

Don't know if this helps, but this is the one I have installed. ImageUploadedByModMyi1366480339.274361.jpg It can help, but its more geared towards saving battery. It's a great tweak, but remember, it will use some ram by its self... But for me, it replaced sbsettings, ncsettings, icleaner and prolly a couple mores tweaks so its prolly saving a little ram... It can auto close "backgrounding" apps when the device goes to sleep, but it doesn't have a whitelist feature to leave some open so it's all or nothing.

I really like it. It has a ridiculous amount system info in it. Not sure if it can a really replace Icleaner though. Thanks for the recommendation.
