Download that latest redsnow or tiny umbrella and you will see the tab to click.

neither redsn0w or tinyumbrella is doing anything for this phone. I don't know what to do now.

With Evasi0n jailbreak, you can't do a regular restore. You need to put the iPhone in pwned DFU mode then do a restore. For instructions see link below. Good luck

Oops, I did try the erase everything button on the phone first. It was stuck with the spinny circle thing for about three hours. I then force rebooted the phone and it seemed to come right back to normal. I then proceeded to hook it up to iTunes and do the restore and update and that is when the problem started. Anyway I took it in to a guy who is good with this stuff and $25 later he has it all fixed up, so good to go.

    Thanks everyone for your help.

    2k1.... you are funny ....

Anyway, no matter what... The answer is the same. If your iPhone is jailbroken, in recovery mode, or hangs on boot up, you need to restore under pwned DFU mode. See the link in post #7 for instructions or google "pwned DFU mode." Good luck ...

What did he end up doing to fix it?

Probably the same thing we could have suggested, and it would have cost you nothing, just a little patience

But at least you got it fixed

Not sure what he did, but I did get it in to DFU mode, but it still wouldn't take the update and restore from itunes. I also downloaded tinyumbrella which recongized the phone and that it was stuck in a loop but could not break it.
