Best Google Voice integration tweak?

Hi All,

I've been using "SMS GV Extension" and "Phone GV Extension", both of which have worked well for me. Now I'm on iOS6, and these guys haven't been updated yet. I see other GV integration tweaks out there, namely "GV Mobile +" and "GVIntegrated". Which do folks like the best?

There's nothing to beat "SMS GV Extension" and "Phone GV Extension", but they don't currently work with iOS 6. I've been in contact with the dev (Zhi Zheng) several times, but have heard nothing back from him in months. I hope the only reason he's not replying is because he's too busy upgrading these tweaks for iOS 6 :-) These are probably the best two reasons to jailbreak.

Some good news luckycharms! I just heard that Zhi Zheng is indeed working on updating both the phone and SMS GV extensions.
We just need to be a bit patient, because there's a fair amount of work needed due to the changes in iOS 6. But it's on its way :-)

Sadly, it looks like this dev has either given up or been eaten by a black hole. Nobody's heard anything from him for nearly a month.
No news of any kind. It's looking a bit doubtful now that there will ever be an update to these two tweaks.

Thanks, but this thread isn't about Google Now (the voice search). We're talking about SMS GV Extension and GV Phone Extension, which are two tweaks designed to integrate Google Voice (the old Grand Central phone service) into the native iOS iPhone messages and phone apps.

This is one of my favorite tweeks as well.

Major warning NOT to put the old version on as it locked up my phone HARD when I tried it.

Im glad i was able to downgrade back to iOS 5.1.1 by the saved blobs from my iPhone...
however i have an iPod touch 4G and it is currently on iOS 6+ that doesnt have the capabilities for the wonderful and splended SMS GV Extension. and since (for some reason) the google voice app lags like as if google voice sucks, the way i get around this is in the setting of google voice...
forwarding my sms to gmail: because the gmail app from the app store is on-top of it with notifications. so, guys, if u are in dire need of the notifications, that should suffice in the meantime.

there's also an app from the app store 'Prowl: Growl Client' which also works well, with just a bit of setting it up. man, been waiting for 6 months now for SMS GV Extension. It seems it may get here when iOS 19.2 comes out.
