OK this is a weird one. This does not appear to be the recovery-mode-boot-loop problem...

I just replaced the touchscreen on my 3GS - the phone boots fine, iTunes can see it, restore / update iOS etc etc. BUT the display on the phone only shows the Apple logo - as it does when booting.

When performing a software restore all the normal progress bar animation happens, the restore completes successfully etc. but as soon as the phone reboots it's stuck displaying only the Apple logo. Hell, I can even CALL the 3GS from my landline and it rings fine on the landline phone (not on the iPhone).... but still the Apple Logo is the only thing on the 3GS LCD.

Anyone have any suggestions? Needless to say it wasn't like this before fitting the new touchscreen.

Thanks in advance,
