Nor my computer or itunes will recognize my iphone
Hi. I think I have done something very wrong. I have a jailbroken iphone 4 running ios 6.0.1. A couple of weeks ago, it started going into safe mode once in a while, and sometimes it got stuck un boot, just because. So I decided to erase some packages that I thought were the problem. But, it still happened. So I decided to erase everything, and start all over again, but my iphone still had some things I didn't like. So I decided I would re-jailbreak. And this is where I made the mistake. I opened redsnow, and pressed the jailbreak button. This time, I unchecked Cydia (since it was already installed). It did all its process and in the end it gave me an error. I had to reboot, and when I tried to open Cydia, it just won't open. I connected the iphone to the computer to do a full restore, but it wont recognise it. It won't even charge it, and less to say, itunes won't recognise it either. Can someone help me, please????

So gist is that your computer won't recognise the handset after a redsnow and cydia error? First things first - sounds like you need to restore.
1. Try recovery mode (google instructions on how to get into this)
2. If that doesn't work try DFU mode. (again google instructions how to do this)
Note that you're likely going to lose contacts / messages using either way. But hopefully you have a back up stored? Either way it'll be a fresh install of ios! Good luck

Well, I got it to restore. The problem now is that i jailbroke it again, but when it turned on it didn't show Cydia. There's no Cydia app.

What iOS did you restore to? And what jailbreak tool?

That I know of, yes.

To be honest I don't know then. Have you tried the "just boot" option? Guess if that happened to me and just boot didn't work I'd repeat the process once more

I read something about that on the internet. I'll try it. Thanks anyways.

What did you end up doing?

Well I had to first put the phone in dfu mode before opening redsnow. Jailbreak, quit redsnow, put the phone in dfu mode again, open redsnow and just boot. Thanks for your help
