Ok, I'm currently running 5.0.1 with no Imessage or push notifications. If I upgrade to 6.0.1 can I have functions Imessage or push notifications? Also, I'm on Tmobile.

If u have shsh blobs for 5.1.1 I'd go there...it has untethered JB...6.0.1 is tethered, but if u do actually have old bootrom, u should be able to be untethered...u need to preserve baseband of course..what BB do u currently have?

I'm currently on 5.13.04 BB. And yes I'm old boot rom. When I initially unlocked early last year I was on the iPad BB, but decided to use red snow a few months back to downgrade the BB. I'm clueless when it comes to shsh blobs. I backed up my 5.0.1 blobs with cydia a while back, but when I try to retrieve them it says the TSS server can not be accessed. When I try the query cydia function from reds now it says my shsh blobs are found. Also, when I try to stitch firmware with the shsh blobs on my local ssd it says the blobs are partial.

    So I don't think I have 5.1.1 shsh blobs.

Would I have functioning push notifications on 6.0.1? What about imessage?

That's good u got rid of iPad BB.... iMessage should work fine on 6.0.1..did u recently add something that may have messed that up?

When u open cydia, what blobs show up at top of screen?

I'm not sure, that's what I was trying to figure out. It worked fine for 6 or 7 months and then when I did the restore, no more Imessage. The only thing that I can think of that has really changed is the Baseband. I've tried I5MMS and still no go. I was trying to do another fresh restore to 5.0.1, but I can't get it to restore.

When I open Cydia it shows "SHSH: IOS 4.1, 5.0.1, 6.0.1"

Does that mean I'm good? Why can't I seem to pull the ShSh blobs from cydia? Will I5MMS work with 6.0.1 or is there something else that is needed to get it functioning with T-mobile.

Dont know about i5mms...not sure why u can't get 5.0.1 to work either... I used iFaith to dump blobs directly off the phone n make a custom 5.0.1 with them..that was quite a while ago for me...but u need a working phone for that..

Did u put phone in pwned DFU mode first?

I'll try iFaith and see if I can get my blobs again. My phone is currently working, just no push notifications or imessage.

I believe I put the phone is DFU mode first, why?

Pwned DFU? I'll have to search YouTube to figure out how to do that. I think I was in normal DFU.

Ok, we'll I figured out how to get to pwned Dfu and I was able to restore my phone with a custom 5.0.1. So we'll see if I can get imessage functioning again. If not i will try upgrading to 6.0.1.

Thanks for your help! Any further suggestions?

Ok, we'll fresh restore on ios 5.0.1, used i5mms and still no imessage or push notifications. This is very irritating. Is there anything else I should try before giving up and trying ios 6.0.1? Anything I should do before upgrade to 6.0.1, to allow me to downgrade to 5.0.1 if I need to in the future?
