hi i have a iphone 4 5.1(9b176) firmware 04.12.01 i jailbroken with redsn0w_win_0.9.10B8B tethered and now i want to
upgrade to 5.1.1 to untethered please help me i'm new in this ....please tellme step by step how to do it what redsnow and what ispw and from where i can downloaded ... thank you !!!!!!

Open up cydia and see At the top they will be in green will tell ya what you have or download tiny umbrella and that will also tell you.

when i open cydia i have IOS 5.1,5.1.1,5.1.1r1,6.0.1 im' downloading tiny umbrella can u please tellme whats next........thank u

Yeah you're in good shape with the blobs.

Grab redsn0w 0.9.15b3 for OS X or Windows, and the 5.1.1 (9B208) IPSW.

Open redsn0w, select Extras -> Even More -> Restore. Select the IPSW you just downloaded and "Remote" blobs. redsn0w will now restore your iPhone to iOS 5.1.1. PLEASE NOTE IF YOU RELY ON ULTRASN0W FOR AN UNLOCK, YOU SHOULD NOT USE THIS METHOD.

Once redsn0w is done restoring your iPhone, open redsn0w again and go to Extras -> Even More -> Preferences. Make sure the checkbox for "Use DFU ramdisk mode whenever possible" is checked. Open iTunes to activate your iPhone, but do not set it up or sync apps/music/etc. to it yet. Go back to redsn0w and hit the "Jailbreak" button then follow the instructions for "A4 and earlier devices."

Congratulations, you should now have a jailbroken phone at iOS 5.1.1. Begin the syncing and personalization processes now.
