I need to generate a system log so that one of the software developers can address a problem I am having with an app on my iphone. I have searched through the forums to find out how to do this but the information I found on how to generate a syslog seems to be written for a more advanced user.

I have recently performed a jailbreak and don't know anything about doing terminal input or any of the other steps identified. I did install syslogman but the syslog button generates an empty log.

I need a step by step set of instructions written for a novice on how to get the syslog. Can someone point me to such information?
