    Default What the hell is this?
    What is this in my status bar? Its recently started showing up there in apps. Thanks.

    It means that backgrounding for that app is enabled in Backgrounder. If it isn't, that symbol won't show up.

    Really wish people would read things before posting... This is like the 700th post on the background N icon. Okay a lot of them are over a year old now but STILL!.

    Go into the Backgrounder app and hit the Global Settings option. Then find the "Indicate state via..." and turn the Status Bar Icon option to off.
