After a quick scan through the forums, I would like to ask this question.
Some time back, Absinthe gave us lucky people the power to have custom bootlogos & to completely remove the apple bootlogo from appearing and reminding us who gave us this "pittyfull thing.... (Until shake and bake it!)"
Now all I get when I boot my device is the following - apple logo (12secs) - custom boot logo transition - please wait animation (10secs)- spring board -
My device is a iPhone4 GSM running 5.1.1 and baseband 04.12.01.
What am I doing wrong?
I am currently reinstalling as I had a small problem that I was not able to fix (DAMN YOU ICAUGHTU!!!!!!)

You aren't doing anything wrong, this will happen no matter what you do sadly.

Cydia or App Store? I'd say that Springtomize2 in Cydia is a really cool multifunctional tweak.

I'd reccomend you add WinterBoard too
Clean Up Crap (CUC) is also another great one, cleans all that crap off of your device that slows it down
