Thread: ssh using windows?

    Default ssh using windows?
    i did a search but did not find the thread on how to ssh or manipulate the files on my iphone using a pc. please advise. it's very easy using a mac, but mine is dying ... or, at least, it sounds like it is. so, i'm using my pc. i tried putty and bitvise but to no avail anyone?

    It's actually pretty easy bud. Just get an SSH client such as WinSCP or FileZilla and install OpenSSH from the Cydia/Telesphoreo repository. From there, get your IP address from Settings > Wifi > IP Address and then enter the details of your IP address into the client.
    After this, use the username "root" and the password "alpine" to login to your device. Note that those are both default, so if you changed them, use the appropriate password.
