Thread: Cydia Storage/Memory Manger App?

  1. #1
    Default Cydia Storage/Memory Manger App?
Is there a good cydia storage/memory manager app? I am running low on available memory and I am finding it harder and harder to go the settings>Usage since I have more JB stuff that doesn't show up. Is there something like usage where i can delete stuff that shows everything including JB stuff? Thanks

Well I'm wondering to what memory u r referring...SBS ettings process toggle allows u to free up RAM...u can remove unused JB apps from inside Cydia...and unused app store apps the usual way...

Not RAM actually device memory. I have a 32 gb iphone and under settings>usage it says I have 680 MB available. So I am constantly deleting stuff to bc I find under 1 GB my phone is slow. Before I jailbroke it was easier to manage bc everything was in there. Now its harder bc it doesnt show how much memory GIFs I have saved are and videos in Protube for example. Wanted to see if there was something I can download that would show you everything.

Well iTunes can kinda accomplish this. It'll show you what's what basically. 'Other' is all your Cydia tweaks and mods. So after that you should have a pretty decent clue of what's taking up all your space. It can be found in the 'Devices' tab and then it'll show you what's there like apps, music, photos, and music.

Cydia's memory tab located in Manage > Storage can also give you a good idea of how much space you have left.

Also, the last part of what xboxbml said is a good tip. Remove anything that you don't use.

Thanks for the replies. Are you talking about Proccesses in sbssettings then click free up memory (with the 5 second countdown)?

There's nothing wrong with it, but your App Store and Cydia tweaks are taking over 65% of it up. So I'd reccomend you start cleaning some of that up. You also have a pretty good portion of photos on there, so that would be worth cleaning out too.

Thanks! Is the app store cydia and apple app store combined? Also what's other ? Was surprised to see that it's so high.

Nope, they're not the same. App Store will say 'App Store'. Cydia = the 'Other' portion.

Actually Other contains the iOS, settings, apple app data, emails, contacts, calendar, notes, and Cydia apps and data... I keep mine pretty clean..I've only got a few Cydia items and I'm currently on 4.2.1 on my 3GS..on 4.2.1 I'm usually around .43 to .67 Other...it's a bit higher on 5.1.1...around .75 to .98.
