i'm having a similar problem. i'd say a good 50% of the songs on my phone don't play at all. there's no error, they just don't play. It seems to mostly effct songs i've purchased over itunes. Also the "shuffle" function doesn't work and keeps some songs from playing if it's on.

    Any thoughts?

    here's what I suggest doing...

delete those songs from your itunes library and sync it again and see if the problem is stil there

otherwise, if you have any important data, back it up..

then do a restore back to 5.1.1, then sync your songs again and play it and see if the problem still persists, if it ameliorates then jailbreak again and test it again, this will help you see where the issue lies

The only way I found is to delete the songs from computer, resync then redownload from iTunes. Make sure the are off iPhone before redownloading then resync again
