    Default Cydia Download Progess error
Not sure if anyone can help me but I have a quick question. When I download any packages or apps in cydia, instead of it showing me a progress on the download, I get a screen that says "Progress 36x36 pixels" on the top and an icon of SMS where the script for the download progress USED to be. Anyone know how to fix this?

Post a screenshot of it and we'll have a better idea

Did you notice this happening after installing a certain tweak? If you have Mobile Terminal 520 installed on your device, try running

    Code:
    apt-get clean
And see if that fixes it.

Try running apt-get update in Terminal. When did this start happening?

I have downloaded and installed the mobile terminal but how I run the apt-get clean?

It started about a month ago. I haven't done much in cydia as of late, so I couldn't give you an exact date.

Did it start happening after installing a certain tweak or anything? Here's those Terminal commands though, they need to be run in the EXACT order as I put:

    Code:
    su root
Password: alpine (If you haven't changed your password)

    apt-get clean

    apt get update
    Tell me if it works.

    Default same boat
I tried the update via terminal and still no dice. All I have is the small sms icon and "package 36x36..." on top of the screen. This happens on any package in cydia no matter what source it's from.

    Default Same ordeal here
I would post a screen shot, but it looks the exact same. However I am aware that it began right after the most recent cydia update that came out just before the JB that was released yesterday.

I tried everything I could think of. Deleted and reinstalled cydia even. Still no luck

The only thing at this point would be to restore in my opinion. Better get it done while 5.1.1 is out. Normally when you delete and reinstall Cydia and that doesn't work, it's time for a restore.

Mine was doing this last week. I was hoping the update to 5.1.1 and then the absinthe jb would fix it. It did not.

Try restoring to a custom IPSW? I have no clue what that error has to do with. Maybe hardware problems? I dunno.

Backup phone with present problems. Then restore phone to that backup via iTunes. Then re-JB. Fixed the problem and I didn't lose my life. Haha
