No problem Tell me how it goes.

EDIT: If you're using Redsn0w for this, Make sure to select 'Extras' and go from there.

I downloaded the link from # 3b. I opened redsn0w and I either jailbreak or hit extras for everything else? Now what?

It says my phone is not supported in DFU mode.

I tried to fetch SHSH blobs and it says "unsupported DFU mode there are currently no know operations for this device in DFU mode" or am I way in the wrong direction?

If you're on a 4s and you have to restore then you will be stuck on 5.1. Seems like others are giving you instructions for an iPhone 4, not 4s.

That's correct 4s ya stuck with 5.1 if ya restore can't downgrade that

  14. #33
So its safe mode or restore to 5.1? NOOOOOOO!!!! Looks like I'll have to jailbreak again when a 5.1 version is released... Think I may just keep it in safe mode.

If I send a crash report would that help at all to find out what went wrong to fix it?

I just found some hope maybe...in looking into the crash log one of the things that caused my phone to crash was APT 0.7 Strict (lib). Can I delete that?

Check this out. Still not sure if ya need to delete it or not.

It will remove action menu, app backup, apt 0.6, apt 0.7 apt key, apt 0.7 https method, apt 0.7 strict, cy delete, cydia installer, cydia translations, and python...

The primary suspect of the crash was lib apt-pkg.dylib.4.6.0

Delete something ya need and ya gonna have to restore anyways so good luck

  20. #39
I was going to do it and a window popped up that said removing essentials...if you continue, you may not be able to use cydia or repair any damage. Not looking good...
