Hello I jailbroken with corona I believe or absinthe on 5.0.1 on my 32GB 4s and lately it's gotten to the point where i don't want an iPhone anymore. It's just buggy can't respring and etc. I was wondering if there was a way I could rejailbreak or start over before I update to the nearest firmware.

You can't rejailbreak...and what do you mean by start over, restore?

If you restore it will be updated to 5.1 and you won't be able to jailbreak anymore.

the jailbreak is not buggy, it is the things people install or mess around with after applying the jailbreak that causes issues
if you got tweaks installed, try to uninstall each and test it out for a day and see if any issues persist

Well since I jailbroke I have had problems respringing, so it might be the jailbreak itself, it is possible you know. I have already tried removing all of my tweaks (which weren't that many) and I still have problems. Is there a way I can rejailbreak without messing things up completely?
Is it possible for me to do a freshrestore using iFaith then rejailbreak? on a 4S

End up forcing to 5.1 now...

Most of the issues pertains to tweaks or mods installed. I do not know what was done to your phone to have caused repsringing issues so I cannot make assumptions.
So I can only make suggestions that may point you towards a possible solution.
I just read your post more clearly since my last post and you said respring issues?
Are you talking about trying to respring through winterboard/sbsettings etc and it wont allow you to respring? Or is it a respring loop? or what?
respring issues caused by not being able to respring is a different matter and does not solely pertains to the jailbreak, it is a common winterboard issue for 4S issues

Really respring through anything, If I uninstall a package from Cydia it'll reboot just fine but other than that it is stuck in a respring loop, I have no packages other than what came on the cydia whenit was first jailbroken. Would going into RedSn0w and doing just boot fix this?

Corona 5.0.1 untether doesn't fix this as well, what are the "bare" necessities when using cydia?
04-24-2012, 07:24 PM #12
You deleted corona from cydia? That is a necessity when using cydia. What are you trying to accomplish now. fix respring issues or restore?

I haven't deleted Corona, in my first post I downloaded it as instructed to try and solve it but I'm still trying to fix the respring issues, I understand that it is not possible for me to restore to 5.0.1 correct?
04-24-2012, 07:31 PM #14
That's correct. But honestly, I've no idea what could fix the respring issues

Well thanks, I'm really hesitant but this has gotten out of hand, to the point of it randomly respringing in my pocket, I guess I'm going to go up to 5.1

Yea, If its doing that you better restore. Hopefully the jailbreak for 5.1 comes soon
