    Default Installing Spire kills Apps
I am have Spire installed on my iPhone 4 JB on 5.0.1. When I try to open some apps, Facebook or Safari, for example, they crash and go back to the home screen. Anyone have a fix for this issue or know what I need to change? When I uninstall Spire everything works like it should.

Yes I am on 5.0.1 untethered JB. I have rebooted several times and it still doesn't work. I may try rebooting tethered and see if that helps.

Spire is a RAM hog. It steals a ton of memory even when not being used. Your apps are probably crashing due to the device running out of memory since the app your opening needs some memory to run. Delete Spire, It's very hard to use and it's so rare that you'll find a trustable server that's free. It's just not worth dealing with all the lag and other crap...

Well I reinstalled Spire and did a tethered boot and that doesn't seem to have helped. I still have some crashing apps and some still work. Guess I'll just quit trying.

There are rumors of a full blown Siri port in the making that should be coming out soon, But for now you can use SiriPort.

Well I installed Siriport as suggested but the same apps that were crashing with Spire are crashing with Siriport. I downloaded Crash reporter but can't tell what is causing Mail, Safari, etc to crash. Any ideas?

If I were you I would just get rid of SiriPort than. If you're continuing to have the same problems than just don't deal with it. That stuff isn't really fully operational yet, I would just wait for that 'Full blown Siri port' if I were you...

What if I went ahead and updated to 5.1 and did the tethered JB then tried Siriport? I've had a tethered JB before so I don't mind it.

I wouldn't count on it working... But it's worth a try. Your choice bro

Ya I doubt it would cause Siriport says it only works with 5.0 & 5.0.1. If I could only find what is causing the crash I would be happy. I may just uninstall all the tweaks and see if that does anything.

Yah one of those may be causing the issues... 90% of the time tweaks are what's causing problems.

So I took everything off but cydia and can now open my apps with siriport installed. But I can't get Siri to activate. It keeps telling me it's unavailable and can't answer questions. Any ideas on how to get it activated?
