I'm hoping one of you geniuses can help me troubleshoot this problem before I have to restore and re-jailbreak my device. I have a Iphone 4s running 5.0.1 jailbroken with Absinthe. I've installed quite a few number of tweaks (dreamboard with some themes, SB Settings, some notification center tweaks and a few Siri tweaks) anyway I hadn't used Siri in a couple of days but when I tried to open Siri today the box pops up with "what can I help you with?" but no mic icon appears and the phone immediately resprings and restarts in 'Safe Mode' I've removed almost every app from Cydia with the exception of MyWi and the core stuff, reset all my settings, disabled and renabled Siri, rebooted etc and it still seems hopeless. Anybody experience themselves or know of something that I might be able to do before I have to do the whole annoying restore rejailbreak thing? I'd really appreciate it.
Try installing SBSettings, respring, to open SBSettings slide finger across Statusbar
Press Power, Safe Mode
Safemode turns ALL hacks off now try it
Does it work correctly in SafeMode?
If so then it is from Cydia
To deactivate Cydia stuff without uninstalling:
First: Scroll your finger along the top again and exit safe mode
Secound: go SBSettings->More->Mobile Substrate Addons
Turn stuff off then exit and if the problem disappears it's one of the however many you turned off, slowly turn them on till you find the problem then turn the problem addon ON then uninstall it from Cydia if you don't turn it on before you uninstall some problems will stick around
Please list the problem app below and thank me on site if all goes well if this doesn't work or u need help please just ask
Even in "Safe Mode" Siri is not working. I'm having the exact same problem. Does this mean, I should probably just to a clean restore and see if that fixes the problem?
Yes if it happens in safe mode your screwed reinstall 5.0.1 and rejailbreak
First backup to the cloud
To keep jailbreaks try AptBackup and OpenBackup idk which one should work and there free
I would try baking up to a pc after u backup to the cloud
The cloud will save app data and restoring through a computer is faster stupid apple
Before u restore install spire from cydia. It downloads all of siri's files directly from apple. Since siri files are already on your device, it probly wont work. But right now you have nothing to lose so give it a try
