Will a IMEI Blocked Iphone 4 work out of the UK?
That was previously locked to a UK network..

for example in USA - Canada, Europe..

got stung on eBay!

yes it should, if it was previous unlock before getting blocked then i might work outside the uk if not then after jailbreaking the iphone it will work as the imei will only be blocked to uk networks not worldwide hope this helps

you can jailbreak the iphone 4 and get it unlock that way by installing unltrasn0w but check the baseband of the iphone as the latest baseband 04.11.08 is not supported yet, also for more info about the iphone 4 you purchased you can use checkmend for the info of the iphone 4 if its stolen, lost or anything other, as you say you bought it on ebay contact paypal they will get your money back if you used paypal and if needed proof show the checkmend report the report from checkmend is £2, another suggestion would be if the iphone 4 is clean on the checkmend report then send it for recycling like enviorfone the give £220 for it take a look

take look at the baseband and what ios its on if its on a lower ios and the baseband is not one of the latest ones the easily jailbreak the iphone and unlock it or use gevey sim to unlock it but note even though unlocked will not work in the uk but will work outside uk

so the report looks bad dont send the iphone to any recycling firm enviro, mazuma or any as they all use checkmend and if the report is like yours then they will keep the iphone and not pay and will give your details to the feds, best option is either try and get a refund through paypal and return the iphone or check the ios and baseband and if compatible with the jailbreaks and unlocking methods then it will work and unlock your iphone for use outside uk check it out

I don't have a leg to stand on with Ebay..

I should of bought the seller and not the product.. my stupid mistake! I paid outside of eBay using paypal but it was for a Ebay Auction :/

with the baseband and ios version yes its just a waiting game, about ebay if you bough it outside of ebay but still purchased with paypal your still covered contact paypal open a case and when they ask for more info show the checkmend report and the case will be in your favour return the item back and get your money back its about 90days from purchase you can open a case i think it will be the best option to do as im also waiting on ultrasn0w for a update is be a couple months now aint gota clue when its coming the dev team working on the 4s yet so i think still more waiting to do
