Default Changing IMEI number( IS IT POSSIBLE?)

    Hi All,
I have a 3gs jailbroken and would like to know IF it possible to change my IMEI number, I'm sure some of you will understand why I want to do this!!, IF this it is possible will my phone still work?
I live in the UK, I am prepared to pay for this advice and or service (Paypal) once it is completed and working.

Alternatively has anyone done this? IF so how.
Any advice would be most appreciated.
    Thanks

In most countries changing the IMEI is illegal. The only iphone that was possible to change IMEI was the old 2G.

If it helps. I changed it in USA with AT&T iPhone 4 from an iPhone 4s tested swap sim.

Changing sim cards will NOT change the IMEI number, i have an Orange (UK) prepaid sim, my phone is Jb'd and unlocked, I'm at present in Australia and use a 'Telstra' prepaid sim, my IMEI is the same.
I just wanted to know HOW to change my IMEI number.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

Dude, Changing IMEI is illegal and talking about it on the forum isn't acceptable. Here in the UK changing an IMEI is likely to get you a 5yr holiday in one of her majesties cells and / or up to £10000 fine. I CANT think of any legal reason for wanting to change the legal device identifier. I CAN think of a few illegal reasons tho. Not trolling, just advising.

Thank you for your reply, However I do not think you are in a position to advise me of what I or what is not acceptable to discuss in this forum, OR ANY forum for that matter.

Well technically he is right. Even if someone does post how to do it they will receive infraction and the post will be removed.

The owners have had enough legal issues with Apple in the past that they would prefer to avoid any other possible lawsuits or trouble for allowing illegal activity.

You asking about it and a quick discussion about the thought of it is ok but sorry can't really go any further than that.
