I am searching since a few day for a solution for my problem.
I have a JBL On Stage 400P. I'd like to charge my iPhone over night with this dock and set my alarm to wake me up in the morning. But if the dock is turned off, it charges the iPhone but the alarm doesnt work because the speakers are off. If it is turned on, the dock needs power and gets a bit hot on the top (which is normal), but I think its not too good for the speakers when they are many hours turned on.
Isn't it possible to turn the audio signal of the 30-pin connector off, so that the internal speakers are on.
Or turn the complete 30-pin connector at a set time off.
Does somebody have an idea??
Sorry for my bad school English
EDIT: I'm using an iPhone 4, iOS 5.0.1 with JB
