Default iPhone 4 - broken touch screen (very unresponsive and behaving crazy)

So recently my i4 started behaving very weird. It's like part of the touch screen is broken, but not always. It differs from time to time. It can work as it should for maybe 20 minutes and then when I try to unlock the phone - the problem is back.

A video would be the best way to describe what my problem looks like but its hard to get a good shot of the phone while interacting with it so I will try to descripe it by text:

The screen issue mostly occur when Im tryin to unlock the phone or when I am writing on it. When I slide to unlock the slider follows the finger for like 1 centimeter then the slider bumps right back to the left, like I would have lifted my finger up away from the screen (which I didnt, I just slid my finger from left to right in one motion). So when this happen I generally get it open by hitting the lock button twice and then try to unlock again. Sometimes spraying the screen with a screen-cleaner and wiping it makes the problem go away.

When writing on the phone:s keyboard some charachters cant be touched (BUT ONLY SOMETIMES!! ). Its like the screen sometimes have deadspots, but it doesnt have any visible deadpixels or anything. So what I have to do then is to flip the phone back and forth switching between landscape mode and portrait (because the keyboard moves to new places). For example: the letter "T" is often only accessible from landscape, trying to press it in portrait generates a "R" or an "Y". This is so weird since it just occurs from time to time, about 50% of the time my keyboard works as it should...

Sometimes the phone just freaks out and starts pressing characters when I'm not even touching the screen. I can hold my finger 1 centimeter from the phone and it starting inputing "asdasdweqweter" as someone would be pressing the keyboard SUPER fast. (Sounds like a ghost story, I know, but Im not joking!)

Well I hope that will give you a hint of what my problem consists of... I just want to know if someone have been having any issues similar to mine and how you solved it. To me it feels like this is hardware related and since my warranty is gone I guess I will have to replace the LCD for about $180.
