Was wanting a little help as I'm at my wits end. I have three contacts groups on my iPhone as follows:
All contacts (local)
iCloud
Biokinetic (Outlook server for work saved on work server) see attached picture
There are a lot of my contacts saved in error in the Biokinetic group and iv been trying to move them to the iCloud group so I can sync them. My other issue is that the local contacts don't seem to sync to iCloud automatically. My issue is how on earth can I move both contacts from local group and my work group to the iCloud group? I have tried syncing with iTunes, with outlook but the damn thing ignores me and the contacts stay as they are. Any ideas?
You may have to turn off sync with outlook in iTunes then go into the phone and add them one by one or turn off iCloud contacts and add the icloud contacts to the bio contacts on ur computer also one by one otherwise itll just keep syncing them into seperate groups
Hey thanks for the ideas, but not working unfortunately. Imported my contacts from work outlook to home iTunes / outlook and now they're all in a group. Still can't get them onto iCloud tho
Ok sorted! And for anyone else in this situation heres What I did. Procedure was to transfer all my contacts to one address book by exporting from one outlook(work) and importing to the other after deleting all contacts in the home outlook.. Then i resynced the contacts from my iPhone to the home outlook enduring that the delete off the iPhone option is deselected and it merges them. Then download iCloud control panel from apple (for win7) and use it to sync all your contacts to iCloud. Simple when you know how but took me weeks to figure out!
