I'm using iPhoneModem on a 4.2 iphone to tether my MacBookPro to the internet. I'd like to use the laptop as a "router" to connect the internet to my MacTV; however, when I go to "internet sharing," iphoneModem is not given a port and I cannot connect. I've turned on file sharing, tried bluetooth and various other configurations, all to no avail. What am I doing wrong? I've used this brief tutorial to attempt the connection: Tethering Iphone to Apple TV - YouTube

Are you using a hard connection(wired) from iPhone to laptop? That's probably why
It cant broadcast a signal like that unless it's hard wired into the Network/Router

Yes, I physically connect my iphone to the laptop before trying to connect to MacTv. Good thought, though. In fact, I've tried it both ways, resetting the MacTv as well. I'm puzzled why iphoneModem doesn't have a port in "sharing."
