using our iphone as a wifi hot spot with mywi or other programs it only sets up as an adhoc network... is that the only way ?

yes, unless you have iPhone 4, you can connect to gaming systems and stuff.

yes i have the ip4 and jailbroke. i can connect to my laptop and other stuff, but my wife has an Android tablet and it does not do adhoc network unless i root it, but the op system i have on it is not rootable yet..and so far that is the only way the iphone sets up its wifi.... so this is what i was asking is there anyother way beside adhoc for the iphone?
