Can I reset iphone 4 with 5.0?

guys, i am having some problems with my iphone 4 in 5.0. infact, i cant sync my iphone with itunes. so, i guess i will have to reset my iphone. so, i need to know if reseting the iphone from the phone itself will make me force to go to 5.01 or i will be able to stay at 5.0? regards

a reset from the phone will not upgrade the f/w. only restoring thru iTunes will give you 5.0.1
also, Apple no longer signs 5.0

but will resetting in the phone leave with a corrupt os so that i will need to restore phone with itunes?
