Can't update to iOS 5

I have Itunes 10.5

and an ATT iPhone 4 on the 4.3.3 software.

My plan is to upgrade to 5 and do the tethered jailbreak. I read that JBers should avoid the 5.0.1 and just use 5 so I downloaded "iPhone3,1_5.0_9A334_Restore" and did the shiftclick (on windows) in itunes on both upgrade and restore and I get errors after extraction

When I try to load this into 'Update' after extraction is says "3002 - An Unknown error occured"

When I try to load it in 'Restore' It says the same thing except its error "3194"

Ive tried restoring from DFU mode to to no avail.

How do I upgrade to 5.0 without skipping to 5.0.1?

You can't upgrade or downgrade to 5.0 since Apple already quit signing it.
