Thumbs down new version of Skype doesn't like jailbreaking?
I recently updated to the newest version of Skype. I went in to the app to use it, and a message popped up along the lines of "This version of Skype is only supported on unmodified versions of iOS". I assumed that simply meant that they would not provide technical support for people using jailbroken phones, and the app appeared to work fine. Now I am trying to make calls, and it just immediately ends the calls. Does this have to do with jailbreaking, or does it have to do with the app itself? Is there a way of downgrading back to the previous version of the Skype app? It was working just fine before this update.
I am using an iPhone 4 with the firmware 4.3.3 version.

Thanks, and sorry if this is the incorrect place for this post.

There might be a fix on Cydia or soon to be on Cydia.

    Default Works for me
Skype displayed the same messaging to me but it works with not problems. This leads me to think the issue is somewhere else, not just the skype app.

Yeah, that message is standard. Had that with every version of Skype and prior to iOS 5.

Im using a 4s on 6.0.1. and am getting the same msg but skype will now allow me to log in. I get"We didnt recognize your skype name and password. I have it on my pc and double checked everything else works fine. I hope this doesnt become a trend in app store apps. We buy the damn 500 dollar phones. this is getting nuts.

It has been doing that since i could remember. I believe there is a .plist file that checks if you have a modified version of iOS running.

Iphone 4s and iPad2, both jb'd and running 6.12. No messages what so ever and Skype is running fine (I do have xcon installed, maybe that has something to do with that).

I know, right? Same problem. I deleted it then reinstalled it. (Skype app) Seemed to work.
