    Default iOS 5 tethered jailbreak

Is this really worth doing? It's been awhile since I've messed with tethered jailbreaks. I would like to have some of my tweaks back, I miss them. But is it worth the hassle? With iOS 5 Apple is getting steps closer to what a jailbreak can give you, but there's still so much more to want.

It's not that bad when I was on 4.2.1 I was tethered for over a month. The only thing just make sure when ya away from your computer I wouldnt mess with Cydia. Because if ya phone restarts and you not by ya computer you won't be able to start ya phone.

I've been tethered for about a month with no problems. I've only had to reboot when updating cydia packages or installing (some) new things.

Hey, I'm thinking of doing the tethered Jailbreak.... I have one question.... If I do reboot, can I still use my phone.... Meaning, does it just make the jailbreak apps not work, and still allow me to use the normal iphone apps.....or does it make the iphone useless till I reapply the tethered jailbreak.... thanks for the help...

No. If you do tethered jailbreak and reboot, you cannot use your phone without it being plugged into a computer and rebooted thru redsnow

Thank you for your reply :-( Maybe I'll wait for untethered version... Does anyone have a idea of the time frame of the untethered version... a day, a week..etc..... I know the team is working hard, but I can't wait till it comes out... again thank you

Honestly it's not bad to have a tethered jailbreak. I've only had to reboot maybe 4-5 times and that's just installing different things right after jailbreaking. Haven't rebooted my phone in about a week now.

Ok, I think I will try.... Guess if it fails I can always Go back to 4.3.3 firmware.... I know, backup my blobs... I use this for my business, so I need it to be reliable... but I would like to take the chance.... When you install Cydia apps and you need to reboot do you lose any of the cydia apps and tweaks you installed before that that tweak after you jailbreak... one more question... Downgrading, if i have the blobs then I can downgrade.... I need tinyumbrella or iFaith to get the blobs.... I saw a tutorial on it... I follow that.... again.... Thank you for your help...
