4S voice to text and Siri not working

My new 4S wouldn't recognize any voice actions nor would Siri work. My wife's phone worked great but after a few hours of rebooting messing with settings and etc I gave up and went back to the AT&T store. After alot of trying and them admitting they were not familiar at all with the new iPhones I was given an exchange. The new one works great.

Anyone else having voice control or Siri issues not related to location?

I am having similar issues, Have been using JB iphone 4S for some time now on 5.0.1 yesterday, loaded custom lock/unlock sounds and now dictation does not work, Siri opens up on pressing the home button but there is no ding, no colors on the mic and she does not say anything, only the text blob appears saying how can I help you but NOTHING HAPPENS.......Tried re jailbreaking but keep getting error 3194 or 11 or 2005....VERY FRUSTRATED.....kindly help........

Did you have any Siri mods installed and then recently uninstalled? It's my understanding that alot of people who installed Siri hacks were subject to the files being deleted straight from the phone making Siri useless.
