    Default iPhone 4s att just got it is it locked?

    do i need to call att or can i just go to japan and use this phone?

    is it unlocked outa the box??

    At&t has never unlocked any kind of iPhone. So yes it's locked.

    You need to wait for a jailbreak and update to ultrasnow to be able to unlock your iPhone 4S
