Iphone wont restore after trying to update jailbroken iphone 4

I tried updating my jailbroken 4.3.3 iphone 4 foolishly to ios 5 with itunes. It didnt work now my phone has been stuck in recovery mode . Nothing is working. I even tried deleting stuff in the hosts. Please help...

update it to 4.3.5 first
I had the same problem yesterday and that how I fixed my

I was on 4.3.3 jail broken. I put it in DFU mode and then I just kept pressing restore untill apple could process my request since everyone was upgrading that day

Put it in DFU mode and shift click restore your device. Try it that way, it worked for me trying to get it on iOS5.
