    Default Error 3194 and 3200

So I wanted to update to iOS 5 and so first I got the infamous 3194, so i disabled all firewalls opened ports, same thing no go.

Then I added gs.apple to hosts, same problem no go, then removed rebooted every time mind you, still no go.

So I put it in DFU then I get 3200. anyone else with this issue?

I'm having the same issue, was on Tethered Jailbroken iOS 5 GM, figured I have straight talk so I can just update normally and not have to worry about BB preservation, whether in DFU mode or just hooked up to itunes regularly it does not give restore, keeps giving error message 3200...........any ideas? I wanna get my BB updated so I could finally see my signal bars lol

cant find anything on this error, but supposedly on the apple knowledge base it says that the 3000 error codes usually mean that firewalls/updates to itunes etc etc need to be on point, but I have all that done.

the only other thing is that you can do a proper restore without having these issues if you have access to a mac, since all I have found is that its only a windows thing.

Ok I got the fix, so it was a server side issue, what you have to do is put the device what ever it may be into DFU, and keep hitting restore until it works, it took me 9 tries before it eventually picked up.

also not that sometimes it may attach on to the server but cause an error and also eject your phone, simply unplug the cable and plug it back in. hope it helps
