Pre order your Iphone 4s, then lose unlimited data
Has anyone else been forced to select another plan other than unlimited?
What a low blow!

I had Unlimited with AT&T and when I just did the pre-order I was confused because the message at the top of the screen said my data plan was inelligable for the new device and AT&T had chosen a proper data plan to substitute. Without touching anything on that page, the selected data plan is just called data for iphone and costs $30 a month. They also had an option for me to select my own data plan but when I looked at all available options there were no unlimited data plans. This was very confusing, but did not stop me from pre-ordering.
Later I google searched and my heart sank when I read I could've pre-ordered directly from apple and kept my unlimited data plan! I tried calling AT&T to cancel my pre-order and ended up having a good chat with Customer Service. Apparently, the substituted data plan, which is not an option if I were to try and select it myself, is still unlimited for $30 a month. NOWHERE does it say or verify this! Customer Support also said if for some strange reason when I activate my iPhone 4s my data plan does get downgraded, to just call back and they can adjust it back to unlimited since I am grandfathered in.
SOO, in summary, when you are upgrading on AT&T's website DO NOT select any of the other iphone data options(unless yours explicitly says the data is unlimted) and just stick with the data plan which AT&T chose.
Or just make things simple and buy it off apple's website!
