I've got a feeling it's your font. Use your font swapping app to change all of your fonts back to the defaults. If that works, turn the font back on for everything but the keyboard and you'll just have to use a different font for your keyboard.
If that doesn't work, something might have replaced your keyboard symbols font with the emoji font. Use iFile to look through the plist files at /System/Library/Fonts. If a system font (they should have a dot at the start of their name) hasn't got the right file name under it, please tell me which one it is and I'll see if I can find the original file name.

Thanks for taking your time to explain. I had BytaFont installed with Juice font. Was working till now. I have uninstalled teh font and bytafont and it's still the same.
I went thru the System/Library/Font and none of the plist files have a dot at the beginnning of the file. All the files start with CGFontCacheXXX.plist ....
Hope you can help me out

Hi, I did the most brilliant thing yest. I deleted the font folder after backing up the original. My phone refuse to boot up. Did manage to see it in ifunbox and tried to rename the folder but some how coz of the symbolic link the contents got deleted.
I had no choice but to restore or update both of which failed. Tried to find if anyone had the original folder with the contents such as the cache folder with fonts and the plist files but to no avail.
Do you by any chance be able to upload that folder so that I can transfer it to my phone?
Would appreciat it alot. Thanks.
