Iphone 3gs 4.1 jailbroken won't restore. Phone goes through the whole process almost finishes the progress bar on the screen but it simply doesn't complete and it gives no error code.
The phone was working normally today and then I saw it on the emergency call screen. I'm not sure what to do I've tried different pcs, different cords, anyone have an idea?
I am having the exact same issue with my iPad 2 with iOS 5.0 b7, 4.3.3, and 4.3.5 only my system will crash iTunes about 5 seconds after it fails. Strange, I spent 6 hrs trying restore after restore but it worked to restore 4.3.3 only after installing a virtual machine with Mac OSX where as I was having the issues with a physical windows machine. I hope I helped solve your issue but as far as explaining what why and how good I cannot say conclusively but I will say it may be a windows issue.
