iPhone 3GS only stays on when connected to charger
I think its a battery problem. But I changed the battery and still ran into the same problem. How specific are the iPhones when it comes to the APN on the batteries? I have 1 3gs with 616-0434 and 1 with 616-0435.. Do these batteries need to match when I change them or what?

616-0435 should work perfectly
If not, restore the iPhone and if you get Error Code 29, then there is an issue.

If you have SHSH blobs for 3.1.2 and 3.1.3, and try these two restores, you will notice the change.
3.1.2 will restore fine, 3.1.3 will not. The computer log file shows failing a last-minute battery check.

I have no clue what you're talking about mes. Care to give a site that explains a little more in depth?
Thanks Jason.

Never mind. It's important only to someone wanting more detailed technical information.
It's just for testing purposes anyway. Use the right battery and you'll be fine
