AT&T Loophole for Unlimited Data (using old iPhone)

Hi,

I'm currently using an iPhone 4, and I've read online that you can use a loophole in iTunes to get the old unlimited data plan on your account for $20/mo, even though it's "no longer available."

I have the 200MB option activated right now and find it very low, so this interests me.

If anyone knows or is using this, I have a few questions:

Are the speeds 2G? If so, exactly how slow is that in comparison to 3G?

I read that the plan comes with 200 SMS, so would that change my unlimited text to only 200 text?

I did this my dad a couple of months ago. The unlimited data will be $30 and you will keep your unlimited texts but may have to remove the old 200 msg plan.
