Iphone 3gs Stuck in DFU Mode

i have restored my phones multible times just like you have and cannot get it to stay on after i custom restore the phones to 4.3.3 and then i use resn0w to boot it tethered it turns on then just goes back into sleep mode after a few seconds

Make sure after you get it going you go into settings and set it to sleep never. I had to redo mine everytime it went to sleep or every time it turned off it's a pain but better than not working at all

yeah it's auto lock select never. Glad I could help. I delt with it for a month before getting that far.
