Restoring and Re-Jailbreaking an iPhone 3Gs?
Ok, I'm new here so If I'm in the wrong place I apologize. I also apologize if this answer has been posted before, but it is hard to go through and read the millions of jailbreaking guides that are out there.
I have a Jailbroken iPhone 3Gs with 4.2.1 firmware. What I want to do, is back everything up, contacts, texts, apps, ect..If possible Id love to back up my customizations and stuff like that as well, but no bigge if I cant do that. I don't want to loose anything though, preferably.
Then I want to update my firmware to the latest untethered jailbreak, which I believe right now is 4.3.3, I was told by At&t that having the non-latest firmware can be one of the causes of my low signal strength, whether this is true or not I do not know but I would like to stay up to date on my firmware regardless.
So what I need is a guide on how to do what I mentioned above, and how to do it the easiest and safest way without loosing any of my data and apps.
I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to this stuff so the more in depth explanation the better, thanks in advance guys!

I dont know what my blobs are exactly, or why I need to save them? I read a little about it in another guide or forum or whatever but again I'm not sure what I'm doing here...

How can I tell that? I have a 2 yr old 3Gs so I would assume old? but I can't be sure. Also I dont actually need to do a restore, more so do I want to upgrade my firmware, and rejailbreak my phone.

You can't. If you don't have your blobs you can only restore to the latest FW
