Was it a Cydia app update?
Do you have SBSetting installed?
If so, open the main window, what is displayed on the Storage line?

I have sbsettings and when it first happened i dont remember downloading or updating anything. When i went to the storage section it says 0.06% free space. But i deleted a lot of items (over 300mb worth) and it still says zero to little free space.

There are two storage pie charts, System and Private. What the value for both?

SBSetting .... swipping across the top status bar opens a window.
At the bottom of the window show:
Storage: xxxx MB on / xxxx MB on /var
What is displayed in place of 'xxxx' ??

The area where 'almost everything' is stored is ZERO
Not good, not good at all !!
Not sure what you deleted before ... but delete more of it.
Apple apps are easy to delete. Google Earth, Dictionary apps, etc take a lot of space.
Oh yea .... Games take bunches of MB's
Delete one and check the same area. Did "0 MB on /var" change?
If yes, delete more. Delete until you've got about 50 MB on /var.
If no, there's a problem. A restore may be necessary to fix it.Last edited by Mes; 08-16-2011 at 08:03 PM.

I tried deleting stuff(cydia, large apps like dictionary ect) but nothing changes. I'm basically ready to restore but I don't want to update to 4.3.5. If you can help me with that please be as detailed as possible because I'm not an advanced user.

Sounds like a restore is necessary. What is your current version? Phone? Authorized carrier? Unlocked?
Run Tiny Umbrella (links below) and get your SHSH blobs.
If you find any, we'll go from there .....

Ok im running it. And right now i saved my SHSH's.
I started following the instructions in that thread and im on step 5. I downloaded that "RecBot" thing and now itunes doesn't seem to be able to recognize my phone when i plug it in it thinks my phone has been restored already or that its a new one.Last edited by naluboi9; 08-16-2011 at 09:30 PM.

Sorry I meant it thinks it has been restored so it's having me set up as new. I was getting irritated because when i would choose recover from back up. itunes would just stop working and i'd have to close the window but somehow i got it to work and now i'm recovering my phone. But in the thread step 4 still confuses somewhat... oh wait wow i didnt realize there were 2 links and the one i clicked wasnt working. ok so when my phone is finished recovering i should be back on track, hopefully:/
