How do I delete and reinstall cydia?

Everytime I open cydia, I just get a blank screen with the lined backgriund and the bottom black bar and it stays there forever. I'm on iOS3.1.3 on iPhone 3g.

A beta version of Cydia 1.1.2 is available here: cydia_1.1.2_iphoneos-arm.deb

Using iphonebrowser, openssh, winscp, or whatever:
Copy the Cydia deb to /private/var/root/Media/Cydia/AutoInstall
(Note: create Cydia and AutoInstall directories if needed)

Reboot. Done
