    Default messages through PC?

Hey guys, was wondering if there was any way to send/receive messages from my iphone 4 through my computer, with USB?

This used to be a feature I loved back when I had an Android phone, simply plug in my phone and was able to chat away using my PC keyboard

Check out Veency for the iPhone and VNC viewer on the computer. In essence, the iPhone sprinboard is duplicated and controlled on the computer. Not an elegant solution, but a solution none-the-less

tried installing Veency on phone and VNC viewer on the PC, but I'm unable to connect? Should I just be entering the "data ip" of the phone? or is there something I'm missing?

Yes. Also, verify both TCP port numbers match and check your firewall.

seems like it's probably going to be the work firewall blocking me from accessing it . Is there any other way? maybe through USB?

It's easy to add a 'custom rule' to the firewall.

True. That's a totally different problem .... and way over my head

Veency was kind of a kludge option anyway. I'm unaware of other methods.
