Exclamation iPhone Dead after deep discharge

I own an iphone 3G in India and had jailbroken it using redsnow(updated to firmware 4.2.1). I had a deep discharge and could not charge it (tried all alterations - cable, wall plug, USB). then I opened redsnow, entered DFU mode and opted for boot tethered only. it was running successfully and redsnow gave message Done!!. A pineapple was on the screen and suddenly the screen went off. I have tried prolonged charging but it never came back to life. Before this it was running fine only that I did not charge it when it had 16% battery. Please help!!!

Sounds like it could be stuck in DFU have you tried plugging it in and holding both buttons down? Does tinyumbrella recognise if it's plugged in?

Also you could try running redsn0w again. If it skips the holding buttons to enter DFU then it's in DFU if that's the case let it run but leave the cable attached so the batt doesn't run out

Its not detected by tinyUmbrella nor redsnow( implies it's not in DFU mode.) I think that the battery was run down in the process. Yes, I tried pressing the buttons. I still have it connected to power supply but I think that the battery is problematic.
    Waiting for your valuable inputs.

If it were me I would try removing the battery to see if it reset it. Other than that I don't know what else to suggest sorry.

It can be done yes if you got a steady hand. If you google battery replacement for your phone model you'll find guides and videos on how to do it.
I would suggest have a real good look first then decide if you think your capable.
I'm not guaranteeing it'll work but that's what I would try.

Alternatively wait and see if anyone else has any ideas on here. Personally I'm too impatient lol

Also try putting on charge overnight..
    Then connect to iTunes.
Put in recovery mode. Try it. Sometyms phones don't come out of dfu easily.
Then restore to 3.1.3 and use spirit jb

My iPhone is finally working. I dissembled it and reassembled and everything (except the vibrator) is running fine. I followed a few dissemble videos on youtube. Something was loose inside the device and perhaps reassembly fixed it.

I had this happen to one of mine nothing would charge it not the PC or wall charger so packed it up went to drive down to see if I could get it replaced & had it plugged into the car charger within 10 minutes driving down the road it turned on from what must have been a completely dead battery..

Not sure why the car charger worked but have never had that problem since as I dont let any of my phones run 100% dead lol
