TRUE Disk Mode for iPhone.

My mission is to put my iPhone in disk mode and run data recovery software in attempt retrieve some deleted photos. I typed in iPhone disk mode into Google and THESE GUYS were the first ones. Their website boasts "Real disk mode for the iPhone", but after reading Jonathan Zdziarski's book "iPhone Forensics", I was under the impression that one had to SSH into the iPhone and do some serious hacking to put the iPhone in disk mode.

I guess my question is does anyone know anything about the Phone Disk software and is true iPhone disk mode now an out of the box solution? I don't want to just burn $20 for nothing.

By Disk Mode you mean like the root of the device right?

You could try iPhone Explorer or DiskAid.

If I can get it to mount, then I can run data recovery softwware on it.
