Set up as new device in iTunes without restoring
Hello all. Is there a way to set up my phone as a new device in iTunes without restoring? I can't do a restore but I want to set it up in iTunes as if it's never been plugged in there before. I tried deleting all backups, resetting sync history, I even went into Application Data/iTunes and completely deleted every folder in there. It still has all the info on my phone...any help?

I don't think so, you have to restore in order to setup as a new device.

I just have to ask why? Why not restore and make it fresh again?

07-02-2011, 09:43 PM #4I'd love to but I can't. All my restores end in either a 16xx or 29. Check my other thread for the explanation on that one...and as for this not being possible...that's dumb and it makes me sad

Okie doke. If there is a way I have never heard about it other then deleting all accounts, removing all contacts etc.
