iPhone 3g Will not restore for anything 1604/1603 errors

sorry if this isnt the right spot i havent been here in quite a while
anyways, i have two different iphone 3g's that they went off and wont come back on, they were running extremely slow(presumbly ios4), so i figured throwing them in DFU mode and restoring them to the newest software would work, well, it didnt weve tried numerous computer, everything on apples website, sim card trick, putting it in the hacked dfu mode, and im not even trying to jailbreak it, idk wth is wrong, any help would be nice thanks oh btw i am running on newest itunes on a brand new dell laptop for the most part please help

Do you have TinyUmbrella installed on your computer?

It sounds like they have the iPad baseband try a custom firmware and ireb with a stock host file should

i have no clue what tiny umbrella is and ive tried the ireb with a stock firmware its a no go

idk if i mentioned it but it hangs in the preparing iphone for restore then goes to the 1604 error
also the phone sounds like it disconnects from my computer then too, its at the point where it has the apple logo and the spinny wheel at the bottom
