Default iOS 5 upgrade w/ registered UDID?
Hello everyone, this is the first time I'm registered as a developer.

Straight to the point, I need help upgrading my (registered) iPhone 3GS.

I have downloaded iTunes 10.5 beta 1 and 2, each downloaded and upgraded respectively.

Also, I have downloaded the IPSW 5.0 beta 1 and 2, however I cannot upgrade my iPhone 3GS to it.

The restore process goes through up until it verifies the restore with Apple and then errors begin to show.

I have gotten a few errors so far.

The most reoccurring error is 2005 (from what I read, this is hardware related i.e. USB port hub/main).

Other errors such as 3194 and 7 occur too. However, I have gotten past error 3194 (I believe it's a not-in-DFU-mode error) but I don't have the slightest idea what error 7 means or what its solution is.

    Thanks in advance.

    Sincerely, Jcbzr.

Yes, I have TU installed. I run the TSS server when restoring. Also, my hosts file is modified.

That is why you are getting the errors. You need to turn off the TSS server so it can authenticate on Apple's server.

If I don't run the TSS server the 3194 error shows up.

Sorry i forgot to mention in TU make sure you deselect "Set host to Cydia" under the advanced tab and then apply changes.

So my process is correct? It's only Cydia that's blocking me by directing me in the wrong direction?

Yes your process is correct. I am no expert on the matter but my understanding is that TU changes a file that tells iTunes where to verify the install. TU is directing you to Cydia so if you deselect "Set host to Cydia" under the advanced tab and then apply changes it should work.

I am still getting error 2005 after changing the verification process to Apple rather than Cydia.
